Skiing is fun!!!! because you can twist down the slopes and dodge big humps of snow.
This is me skiing I went fast. It was a really fun skiing with Jessica and Josh. I liked it when we got to have a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the day at the lodge.

When we went pine cone hunting for Miss Laugesen we found a stinking dead rat drowned in a bucket of water. I think it fell off the roof and into the bucket and it couldn't climb out.

I liked when we went to the Botanical gardens to see the bug mobile. I liked seeing and holding the different types of bugs. The stick insect climbed right up my arm it was cool.
Last Sunday we had our school fundraiser and we did throw the Rabbit. Everyoneentered it. It was fun. At the end one rabbit had it's eyes popped out, ew! It was a funny day.
The bunny hunt is on the 3rd, 4th and the 5th of April. The person who gets the most rabbits will get a prize. All the people in clarence and around Kaikoura know about it. We hope that lots of people will enter. We are all excited because there are lots of rabbits around at the moment, so we should be able to get lots of rabbits.
On Sunday Dad, Hannah and I went to school. We tidied the school grounds by picking up the dead branches left in piles. We saw Miss Laugesen in her truck going to her house. But before saw her we had gone for a walk and we found some bantem eggs in our hut. Then we went and got Miss Laugesen and we showed them to her. So we picked them up and put them in her large packet so she could check them. Then we went with dad and emptied the truck and we came back for a second load.
Today we went to Kaikouraprimary for junior swimming sports. It was really fun but it was freezing. I got to do overarm, back stroke breast stroke and sculling. I think I need to practise some more . It was hard swimming because there was so many others in the pool. It was funny watching the backstroke.
Monday last week we went to kaikoura. The first thing we did we went and visited the dump. At the dump we got to watch the compost being turned. A huge screen was used to remove all the lumps and large sticks. I got to put my hand into a compost heap. I couldn't believe it was so hot, that was really amazing. Miss Laugesen took a photo.
We are learning about minibeasts with Mrs King. We are having fun making papier mache beasts. They will look fabulous when they have been painted bright colours. I loved making a gluey mess with the paper and paste! By Jessica-Rose.
