Ms Nimmo's last day!
Today it is Mrs Nimmo's last day of the term. She is going to Australia to see her sisters and party! All the girls wanted some holiday homework - how good is that! We also had a special end of term lunch today - we made yummy pizza and we gobbled it all up. (Just like Greedy Cat).
We had our LAST practise of Cross Country. It was postponed on Tuesday and hopefully it will be tomorrow. Mrs King is taking us.
See you next term!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

Pottery
Today we went to Piers Throssell's house. We made all sorts of bowls, vases and lolly holders with clay. It felt so gooiey and slimy. We didn't want to stop when we had finished because it was so fun.
Tomorrow we have cross country at Suburban School. We have been training hard and all want to come in the first half of our groups. We will try our hardest.

Fun Wednesday
Today Mrs Nimmo and Mrs King had a meeting and Becky Murray took for Cross Country and games. We played duck duck goose and played with the balls. It is such a beautiful day here. We are learning a space dance with Mrs King and it was a problem when we first did it but it is much better now.

Baking
Today we did baking. We baked DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS yum yum!
Last night we went to The Festival of Song. When it came to our item I had a sore stomach. When we walked on stage children were laughing at us! They laughed at us because they could see the hats that we were behind our backs and the adults couldn't. When it was the end of the show I was very nervous because I had to go up in front of everyone to give Miss Carpinter some flowers. Then Miss Carpinter have me a hug. When I went back to my seat a girl behind me said that when I went up I looked cute!

On Thursday we went to the Festival of Song. It was fun and I was a bit scared. When we went up on stage I felt a bit scared and we did a song and it was called The Silly Hat Store and I felt so proud of myself.

At the festival of Songs for our item we sang the silly hat store. I'm going to write a poem? ...
I was so proud
and a bit scarred too
BUT I had great fun.
There were heaps of songs that we had to sing.

Last night we went to the music festival. As the car got closer and closer to the gymnasium the nervouser I got. On the way there I was excited. We performed a song called the Silly Hat Store. I got stage fright but I still sang the song. I was really thirsty and it felt like I was going to dehydrate. Whe n it was our turn to perform I said in my head oh no I can't do this but I did. I was proud of myself. On the way home I was tired but excited.

Last night we went to the Festival of Song and it was fun. Mrs Nimmo thought that we were all wonderful and was SO proud of us. After the songs Melissa gave Miss Carpinter a hug and some flowers and everyone thought it looked really cute. Because they did so well singing in front of ALL of those people, today we are baking double chocolate chip muffins - YUM YUM!
We had a late night last night and we are very tired today.

Hannah's brithday
Something happened to our computer network during the week and we couldn't load onto our blog or receive any e.mails! Then suddenly it came right again. Tuesday Hannah turned 6 and she had a lovely party. Poor Jessica is still sick so she missed out.
Today we have been down to practice the songs for our Festival of Song. We are going to have our performance tonight which will be so much fun.

Fast Day Monday
We had Nicky Halligan visiting our classroom until lunchtime today. She said we were so lucky to have a lovely wee school. Mr Judge came in and took us for piano practise. We all learn the piano. Aren't we lucky? On Thursday we are going to the Festival of Song in Kaikoura, at 7 p.m. We are singing a cool song called The Silly Hat Store. Tomorrow it is Hannah's birthday and she is 6 years old. We are all going to her party after school. Jessica is sick today so we hope that she will be better for tomorrow.
